Bhatkal: Karnataka Home Minister inaugurated the Police Quarters

Bhatkal: Dr. G Parameshwar, the Home Minister of Karnataka, inaugurated 12 police quarters at the Police Ground in Bhatkal on Sunday. This initiative is part of the Government of Karnataka's commitment to providing housing for policemen serving in the Karnataka Police Department. The implementation of the Police Gruha 2020 scheme marked the commencement of the construction of these much-needed police quarters.

After inauguration of the flats, Home Minister Parameshwar said "We have constructed 46 thousand houses in the entire state. We will arrange accommodation for 100% of the staff and it will motivate the staff to work more effectively."

Each flat comprises two-bedroom flats, and the entire police staff quarters project was executed at a total cost of Rs 2.8 crore. In a symbolic gesture, the Home Minister handed over keys to the police staff, marking the official commencement of their occupancy.

Minister for fisheries, ports and inland water transport Mankal S Vaidya, Deputy Commissioner Gangubai Manakar, Uttara Kannada SP Vishnuvardhana N, MLC Manjunath Bhandary, and many others were present.
