Udupi: Minister Lakshmi R. Hebbalkar, the in-charge minister for Udupi district, has expedite the distribution of title deeds to all eligible families, including those residing along the sea coast. The minister revealed that discussions have already taken place with the district commissioner to address the issue effectively.
Minister Hebbalkar made these statements during the inauguration of the title deed distribution ceremony held on Wednesday at the Brahmavar taluk administrative office hall, where 55 families were presented with their title deeds. Emphasizing the commitment to providing a minimum of five cents of land to landless individuals in rural areas, the minister asserted that this demand would be prioritized.
Highlighting the Congress party's dedication to pro-poor policies and the welfare of farmers, Minister Hebbalkar expressed pride in the government's decision to implement the policy that recognizes the tiller as the rightful owner of the land. She commended the prompt execution of the five guarantee schemes promised before the elections, showcasing the government's commitment to its word.
With over 600 applications received for land rights, the initial phase saw 55 families granted their entitlements. Minister Hebbalkar urged recipients to create an account under e-asset promptly. Furthermore, he advised officials to facilitate the account creation process smoothly and without causing any inconvenience.
