Karwar: The Kumta police have taken suo motu action and registered a case against Uttara Kannada BJP MP Ananth Kumar Hegde for an alleged hate speech. The case has been filed under Section 505 and Section 153A, pertaining to disturbing the peace.
The alleged incident occurred in Kumta, Uttara Kannada, where Hegde is accused of making insulting remarks about Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. Additionally, he reportedly made an open statement suggesting the demolition of three mosques in Karnataka, drawing a parallel to the Babri Masjid incident in Ayodhya.
