Mangaluru: An 18-year-old girl was killed in a stabbing near the women's police station in Puttur, Karnataka on Thursday. 

The victim, Gauri, was a resident of Alike in Vittal. The suspect, Padmaraj, fled the scene after stabbing the victim, but he was later arrested by police. Gauri was rushed to the hospital, but she later died from her injuries.

The motive for the stabbing is unknown, but police are investigating.
