27-Year-Old Arrested in Mangaluru for Allegedly Murdering Grandparents and Attempting to Sell Stolen Gold Ornaments

Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, the Mangaluru North police arrested Ahmed Akmal (27), a resident of Vailathur in Thrissur, for his alleged involvement in the murder of his grandparents. The arrest was made on Tuesday after the police received a tip-off about a youth attempting to sell gold ornaments suspiciously in Car Street. 

During the interrogation, Ahmed Akmal confessed to the heinous crime, revealing that he murdered his grandfather and grandmother at their house in Vadakkekad, Thrissur, on July 23.

He then stole their gold ornaments before coming to Mangaluru to sell them.
