Mangaluru: In a crackdown on illegal activities, authorities from the Mines and Geology department confiscated 750 metric tonnes of unlawfully stocked sand at Badlaguthu in Kannur village of Mangaluru taluk on Wednesday.

Prompted by a tip-off, a team of officials promptly visited the location and confiscated the illicitly acquired sand.
