Bhatkal: The 73rd convocation ceremony of Karnatak University, Dharwad, was held in Dharwad on Monday, October 30, 2023. 

Shreyas R. Nayak, a student of Bhatkal Anjuman Degree College and Post Graduate Center, was awarded three gold medals and the Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya State Bank of Mysore cash prize.

Shreyas R. Nayak, son of Prof. RS Nayak, Head of the Kannada Department at Anjuman College, Bhatkal, completed his BA degree from Bhatkal Anjuman Degree College and Post Graduate Center in the academic year 2021-22.

He received three gold medals from Karnataka Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot and Karnataka's Higher Education Minister, MC Sudhakar. The medals were awarded in the following categories: Economics (Optional) - Mallappa Sankal Gold Medal, BA Kannada (Optional) - Mirji Annarao Gold Medal, and BA Kannada (Optional) - Mallappa Lingappa Memorial Gold Medal.

The college principal and management congratulated him on his outstanding achievement.
