Bhatkal: Annual Day Celebration at Anjuman College for Women

Bhatkal: The Annual Day celebration of Anjuman College for Women took place on Saturday, August 19, 2023. The event was marked by inspirational speeches, acknowledgments, and performances that showcased the dedication and achievements of both students and faculty members.

Dr. Nuthan K.P, a prominent Gynaecologist from Life Care Hospital, Bhatkal, served as the Chief Guest. In her address, she emphasized the importance of perceiving failure as a stepping stone toward success and shared valuable insights on maintaining optimal health for effective learning. Dr. Nuthan stressed the significance of quality sleep for stress management and encouraged students to cherish small victories and prioritize their well-being through proper nutrition and rest.

Dr. Shantashree, a Lecturer in Commerce at Anjuman Arts, Science, Commerce College and P.G Centre, Bhatkal, highlighted the achievements of talented students and endorsed pursuing affordable post-graduation courses at Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal. She emphasized the institution's commitment to accessible education and its diverse range of quality courses.

Mrs. Seema Kashimji, Chairperson of the Ladies Advisory Committee, presided over the event. She expressed her honor in felicitating both lecturers and students, emphasizing the transformative power of education for positive societal change. Mrs. Kashimji referred to the students as the institution's future stars and acknowledged the pivotal roles of teachers and parents in their journeys. She commended the lecturers for their selfless dedication in shaping students' paths.

The event's highlight was the recognition of University rank holders who exhibited exceptional dedication to their studies. Five outstanding students received Certificates, mementos, and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- each from Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen. Additionally, the first rank holder was specially honored by the Principal with a Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/- for their remarkable achievement.

Class toppers were also acknowledged for their commitment to excellence. Twenty-two students who achieved a perfect score of 100 out of 100 were awarded a Cash Prize of Rs. 2,000/- each by Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen.

The event celebrated the dedication and hard work of the lecturers as well. Those who achieved a 100% result were honored with a Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/-, a Certificate, and a memento. Lecturers attaining a result of 95% and above received Rs. 3,000/-, a Certificate, and a memento.

The event's program featured a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by translations in English, Urdu, and Kannada. Inspirational performances including a Hamd, Naat, and a group singing performance titled "Tarana –e-Anjuman" added to the event's cultural richness.

Miss Zainab Firdous, Lecturer in Physics, initiated the event with a warm welcome, followed by an introduction by Miss Navya Shet, Lecturer in English. Principal Mrs. Raisa Shaikh presented the Annual report of the College, and Fathima Shabnam, Lecturer in Psychology, delivered the vote of thanks.

The event was hosted by Miss Sahana Naik, Lecturer in Zoology, and Miss Zainab Firdous, Lecturer in Physics, who ensured its smooth flow and success.
