Mangaluru: One person died and two others were injured in a car crash at Hosabettu in Mangaluru on Saturday.

The driver, Arjun, died on the spot, while two passengers, Mohammad Fizan and Aniridh Nair, were injured.

The car, which was of Tamil Nadu origin, rammed into a tipper and then into a tree around 3:30 a.m.

The car was completely mangled due to the impact of the collision.

The Mangaluru North police have registered a case under Crime No. 214/2023 U/s 279, 337, 338, 283, 304 (A) IPC and Sec. 184 MV Act. Police are further investigating the case.
