Karwar: Deputy Commissioner Gangubai Mankar made an impromptu visit to the government high school in Shirwad, Karwar taluk, inspecting the quality of mid-day meals served to students.

Engaging with them, she even shared a meal during the surprise visit. Known for consistent surprise school visits, the focus this time was on the Shirwad school's lunch hour to assess food quality. 

Deputy Commissioner Mankar emphasized the need for officials to adhere to quality standards in providing mid-day meals, instructing officers to intensify checks. 

Post-inspection, she interacted with students, discussing various school facilities.

 DDPI Lata Nayak accompanied her during this visit, signaling a commitment to monitoring and enhancing the educational environment in government schools.
