Bhatkal: Former MLA Sunil Naik has been elected unopposed as the new chairman of Bhatkal Krishi and Rural Development Cooperative Bank Limited (PLD). 

Suresh Naik was elected vice president.

The election was held at the bank's head office. 

Sunila Naik's family has a long association with the bank. His father served as the bank's chairman three times. In the recent election of the board of directors, Sunil Naik's team won all 15 seats.
