Bhatkal: Four people, including three members of the same family, were injured in two separate bee attacks at different locations. All the injured were admitted to the Bhatkal Government Hospital, with one being shifted to the emergency ward later. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening.
In the Jali Kodi area of the taluk, three members of the same family were injured in a bee attack. The injured have been identified as 70-year-old Mastamma Manjappa Naik, 37-year-old Janki Naik, and 45-year-old Suresh Naik. In a separate incident in the taluk's Shirali Bangarmakki, 55-year-old Ganapati Manjjaya Naik was also injured in a bee attack.
Reports suggest that the three individuals in Jali Kodi were inside their home when suddenly a swarm of bees entered the house and attacked them. The condition of the 70-year-old woman is reported to be critical, and she has been shifted to the ICU.
According to sources, Ganapati Naik was injured by bees in Shirali, while on his way to the market from his home.
