Bhatkal: HM Parameshwar addresses grievances of Moger Community on SC Certificates issue

Bhatkal: Home Minister G Parameshwar visited the site of a sit-in organized by the Moger community, addressing their concerns regarding the abrupt cessation of Scheduled Caste certificates. The Moger community, primarily comprised of students, expressed their distress over the denial of associated benefits despite their ancestral background.

Home Minister engaged directly with the aggrieved students participating in the sit-in, carefully listening to their grievances. The students lamented the challenges they faced in their education due to the sudden halt in the issuance of Scheduled Caste certificates, even though their ancestors were recognized as Scheduled Castes.

Addressing the issue, the Home Minister provided assurance to the Moger community that he would take necessary actions after a thorough review of the study report on the matter. This commitment aims to address the concerns raised by the community and rectify the perceived injustice surrounding the denial of Scheduled Caste certificates.

District In-charge Minister Mankal Vaidya, Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner Gangubai Maankar, District Superintendent of Police Vishnuvardhan,  Leaders from the Moger Community,, Annappa Moger, Narayan Moger, Bhaskar Daimane, Krishna Moger Honnegedde, Venkataraman Moger Mundalli, Sridhar Moger Mundalli, Ishwar Moger Gorte, Lakshman Moger and others were present.
