India's Media war

Mon, 23 Oct 2017 00:09:00  IG Bhatkali   SO News

An interesting war is going on between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress on social media. This time the Congress seems to have learnt from the 2014 debacle and a sizable army is continuously firing on BJP from close range. The BJP's troll army is losing ground and getting serious injuries in both Twitter and Facebook fronts.

The 'Shah Zadah' missile invented by BJP in 2014 is being reused against it by Congress in 2017. Recently marketed Dewali Dhamaka bombs of BJP are being successfully defused by the Congress brigade on social media. It is near chaos in BJP camps. The command and control centres have weakened and foot soldiers have either lost enthusiasm or are hunting the wrong prey as cow vigilantes.

The battleground – JNU, BHU, HU and DU are lost by the Right to the Left. The God’s own land – Kerala is proving too tough for an outsider squad, with both air and water there not suitable for brainstorming warfare of BJP against the Left. The Bengal Tiger seems not ready to accept a ride to BJP so far and Didi seems ok sailing on twin flower as grenades.

Demonetization of Indian currency notes last November and the latest GST bombers have misfired on their own positions for BJP. Common men are bleeding and agitating on streets against their own commander-in-chief – the chaukidar. The BJP is facing unexpected terrains in the market places too, friends turning foes. The Banyagiri of the field marshal- Shah- the great, within home, has morally fragmented and demoralized the whole BJP army. It is getting harder for them to hold their positions and boost the war drums of "the party with a difference" anymore.

Here on social media, a third independent platoon of army arrived to volunteer against BJP. They placed themselves in good positions. Armed with smart phones, they can cause millions of likes and retweets for their drawing room video shooting. As people media versus paid media, these small units are proving to be brain-eating worms for BJP.

Here are individual fighters who are young and enormously energetic like Wali Rahmani and Abhishek Mishra – two young boys, creating havoc for BJP from You Tube warship. Avi Dandiya, has set up a unit called “Muhabbat Ke Dange” and uses his ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) against BJP’s ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘Hate Taj’ fuses from a safe distance. The Wire.in and the Scroll.in are continuously infecting heart injuries as anthrax does for BJP through web portals.

The BJP, however, has up till now an unparalleled advantage with the national media. The electronic war houses are fully capable of attacking the enemy with mind bombs. These mind bombs are fully 'made in India' and specially designed within very sophisticated factories to be used as long-range defensive systems against air to air or air to land attacks during intellectual war games for BJP. These systems are also all-time ready to be used as assault weapons with Hindu-Muslim explosives as and when required.

On this front, the Congress is not even a match for BJP. Unless Congress has put a serious challenge to BJP on media, let alone 2019 Lok Sabha or Gujarat elections this year, winning Himachal and Meghalaya may be a pipe dream.

The BJP has a stronger air power in electronic war houses which can ensure its victory in any battlefield. How long BJP can retain these war houses in its favour and how long Congress will take to rename Indian Modia into Indian Media will be a major decider for future politics in India.
