Kasargod: The lifeless bodies of an elderly couple were discovered in a pond near their residence in Panathady on Saturday.

The couples identified as Krishna Naik (84) and his wife Aithamma Bayi (80) had gone missing earlier from their home.

Following an extensive search, their lifeless forms were located in the pond, prompting speculation that their demise may have been the result of an accidental fall into the water.
