Konkan Railway Permanently Adds Coaches to Mangalore Central-Madgaon Junction Train Service

Udupi: Konkan Railway has announced the permanent addition of two additional general coaches to the daily passenger train service between Mangalore Central and Madgaon Junction.

The train has been operating with extra coaches since November 5. According to the Konkan Railway statement, the train, which previously ran with 14 general coaches and two SLR coaches, will now operate with a total of 18 coaches, including 16 general coaches and two SLR coaches.

Traffic Disruption: Maintenance work between Kumta and Bhatkal stations is scheduled for November 9th from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. As a result, there will be disruptions in the movement of trains along this route, as informed by Konkan Railway.

On November 8, the 16585 express train, running between Sir M. Visveswaraiah Terminal and Murdeshwar in Bangalore, will terminate at Bhatkal. Consequently, the train's movement between Bhatkal and Murdeshwar will be canceled.

Likewise, the 16586 Murdeshwar-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bangalore Express train, originally scheduled to depart from Murdeshwar on the 9th, will now commence its service from Bhatkal at the same time.

Furthermore, the 22114 Kochuveli- Lokmanya Tilak Express scheduled for departure on November 9 will make a 20-minute stop at Bhatkal station.

In another update, Konkan Railway stated that maintenance work will be conducted between Ratnagiri and Vaibhavwadi Road on November 10, leading to some disruptions in the movement of several trains.
