Kundapur: A tragic incident occurred when a car collided with a stationary lorry on the roadside, resulting in the immediate death of a young man and severe injuries to four others.

The deceased had been identified as Joeyston Castellino (22).

He was the president of Udyavara ICYM (Indian Catholic Youth Movement). 

The incident took place in the early hours as a car carrying members of the Udyavara ICYM unit was en route to Udupi after completing a program in Kundapur. The collision occurred near Koteshwar with a broken-down lorry.

Joyston Castellino lost his life on the spot, and the injured individuals include Leston Pinto (22), Justin Cardoza (22), Wilson Martis (23), and Gladen DeSilva (23).

Kundapur Traffic Station Police have registered a case.
