Mangaluru: A 40-year-old man was arrested by the Puttur Women’s Station police for allegedly sexually molesting a young girl on a KSRTC bus this past Saturday. 

The arrested has been identified as Udaya Edapadavu (40).

Udaya was engaged in lewd behavior with the girl during her journey from Mani to Puttur. Upon the victim's disclosure to fellow passengers, they swiftly intervened, preventing the accused from disembarking in the middle of the route.

The bus was directed to the nearby police station, where law enforcement officials swiftly took the suspect into custody from the bus premises.
