Mangaluru: A State-Level Cricket Tournament for Journalists is scheduled to take place from January 5 to January 7, 2024. 

The tournament is being organized by the Karnataka State Working Journalists Association and will be hosted by the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Association in Mangalore. A preliminary meeting was conducted at Mangalore Press club on November 4.

During the meeting, Srinivasa Nayak, the President of the DK District Working Journalists' Association, presided over the event and highlighted that the tournament aims to promote the coastal-friendly heritage brand of Mangalore throughout the state.

ARamesh Kuttappa, the Vice President of the Karnataka State Working Journalists Association, stated that around 500 representatives from 25 districts are expected to participate in this sporting event.
