Mangaluru Resident Falls Victim to Telegram Scam, Loses Rs 6.91 Lakhs

Mangaluru: A case has been registered at the SEN police station in Mangaluru regarding the transfer of Rs 6.91 lakhs through fraudulent activities on the Telegram app.

On November 1, the complainant clicked on an advertisement received through YouTube, which contained a link to a Telegram account. 

Upon opening the link, the user was informed that they could earn money by completing tasks. Subsequently, the complainant completed nine tasks, only to discover that Rs 6,91,714 had been transferred from their account in a step-by-step manner. The complainant alleges that they were deceived and the money was fraudulently transferred.
