Minister Visits Bereaved Fishermen's Families in Byndoor Boat Tragedy, Announces Compensation

Byndoor: Minister Mankal Vaidya extended his condolences to the families of the fishermen who tragically lost their lives in a boat accident at Karkikali and Uppunda. On Tuesday, he visited their homes and consoled the grieving families.

Expressing his deep sorrow over the tragedy, the Minister stated, “I have taken immediate action to provide compensation to the affected families. Each family will receive Rs 6 lac.Additionally, the proposal for 250 meters of breakwater on both sides of Koderi port, suggested by the MLA and former MLA, will be discussed with the chief minister.” To address the issue of CRZ (Coastal Regulation Zone), the Minister announced the formation of a dedicated team. Furthermore, he assured that the Maravanthe works would commence soon.
