Udupi: A 35-year-old police constable, identified as Shrutin Shetty from Kaup, was discovered lifeless in a well close to Putteri Karkala. He had been reported missing since October 19.

Shruthin, who served at the Karkala police station, had last contacted his wife at 7:30 pm on October 19, informing her that he was on his way home and was then in Nandikoor. Subsequently, his phone was found switched off.
