Mangaluru: Pandeshwar police arrested two persons involved in stealing mobile phones from the Bunder Fishing area in the city on Friday.

The arrested accused have been identified as Kunnan Yane Guna (23) and Ramaki (25) from Tamil Nadu.

SI Manohar Prasad and his team were on patrol duty near the city's goods shed when they noticed two individuals acting suspiciously with mobile phones. Upon questioning, the suspects, unable to provide satisfactory answers, raised further suspicion. Upon detention and subsequent interrogation, one of the accused confessed to the theft of a mobile phone.

The police seized five mobile phones, which the accused had concealed in plastic covers. Authorities revealed that the accused were employed in the Bunder area and had been pilfering mobile phones from there.
