Moodbidri: A Pre-University College student reportedly took his own life by hanging on Saturday night at Moodbidri.

The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Manoj Kavalur from Kadampur in Gadag district, was staying at the hostel.

According to the police, Manoj committed suicide by hanging himself in the hostel's toilet. 

A case has been registered.
