Bhatkal: Three tourists from Bagalkot, Basavanagowda Patil (22), Sharanu Inchal (21), and Ravichandran (22), were rescued from drowning in the Murdeshwar sea on Monday.

The tourists had come to Murdeshwar and went for a swim at the beach in the morning. They got caught in a wave, but lifeguards Shashi, Pandu, and Ramachandra quickly rushed to their rescue.

The lifeguards administered first aid to the injured on the spot.
