Namma Nada Okkoota (NNO) Urges Direct Haj flight from Mangalore Airport

Udupi: A delegation from the Namma Nada Okkoota (NNO) Udupi district unit met with State Haj and Municipal Administration Minister Rahim Khan, urging the facilitation of direct Haj pilgrimage from Mangalore airport on Wednesday.

In a parallel meeting, Minister of Housing, Waqf, and Minority Welfare Zamir Ahmed Khan, along with Legislative Council member Abdul Jabbar, engaged in discussions addressing the concerns of the minority community in Udupi district. They submitted a formal request to address and resolve the community's issues.

During the discussions, the minister was extended an invitation to visit Udupi district. The delegation also sought an audience with Karnataka State Waqf Board Chairman Anwar Basha, pressing for the expeditious release of grants to various mosques and madrasas in Udupi district.

The delegation, led by President of Udupi DistrictNamma Nada Okkoota Mustaq Ahmed Belve, included Hussain Haikadi, Organizing Secretary of the Central Committee, Trust Member Peeru Saheb Udupi, District General Secretary Zaheer Nakooda Gangolli, and District Treasurer Nakwa Yahya Udupi.
