UDUPI: A fatal hit-and-run incident occurred in Shirva, resulting in the loss of a pedestrian's life.

The victim, identified as Ivan (55), was on his way home after attending a church program when an unidentified vehicle struck him.

Despite immediate medical attention and efforts to rush him to the hospital, doctors later declared Ivan deceased.

The Shirva police have initiated a case in connection with the incident.
