Mangaluru: Unidentified thieves stole gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 2 lakh from a car belonging to a pilgrim who had just arrived in Dharmasthala from Gadag.

The victim, Basavaraj Gudasalamani, told police that he had parked his car outside a hotel in Dharmasthala when the thieves smashed the window and stole a bag containing approximately 40 grams of gold chain, along with a mobile phone.

The Dharmasthala police have registered a case.
