Three Arrested in Mangalore Tempo Traveller Theft Case

Mangaluru: Three persons have been arrested in connection with the theft of a Tempo Traveller vehicle parked near Kuntika flyover in the city on September 14.

The arrested have been identified as Arif Ulla Khan, Amit Bahubali Panchodi and Surendra Kumar. A Tempo Traveler worth about Rs. 15 lakhs was recovered from the accused.

The vehicle was parked near the Kuntika flyover at 8:30 pm on September 14. When the owner saw it the next morning, it was stolen. A complaint was filed in Urva police station.

On the direction of Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, a special team was formed to investigate the case. The team conducted a meticulous investigation and traced the accused to Belgaum, where they were arrested on September 22. The stolen Tempo Traveler was also recovered from the accused.

The accused have been booked under section 379 of the Indian Penal Code for theft. They are currently in police custody and further investigation is underway.
