Mangaluru: The Surathkal police have arrested three men in connection with an alleged case of attempted murder. 

The arrested men have been identified as Prashanth Bhandary, Basavaraj, and Chennappa. They are all residents of Surathkal.

The police said that the incident took place on August 1, when Roger D’Costa was standing alongside his friend from Jharkhand at a decrepit house, waiting for the rain to cease. The suspects, who were in a group, approached Roger and his friend and started abusing them. They then attacked Roger with sharp weapons.

Roger sustained serious injuries in the attack and was rushed to a hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment. 

A case has been registered against the three suspects under IPC Sections 504, 323, 324, 307, and 506, along with Section 34.
