Mangaluru: In connection with the abduction and murder of 22-year-old tipper driver Hanumantha from Bagalkote district, the police have taken two suspects into custody in Puttur.

Reportedly, on November 17, Hanumantha was forcibly taken in a vehicle by Shivappa Hanumappa Madara (42), Manjunath Hanumappa Madara (32), and Durgappa Madara (42). Acting on a complaint filed by his mother Renavva, Sampya police initiated a case.

Shivappa Hanumappa Madara and Manjunatha Hanumappa Madara have been arrested by the police. Following the murder, the victim's body was disposed of on Agumbe Ghat.

There are allegations that the murder took place inside the vehicle, and the motive behind the crime is believed to be an illicit relationship.
