Uppinangady: Two youth of Odisha origin lost their lives in a tragic incident at Shiradi Ghat near Uppinangady on Wednesday. 

The deceased had been identified as Amulya Perida (23) and Santirnish Juty (27).

The accident occured on NH 75, the highway connecting Mangaluru and Bengaluru, near Kempu Hole.

The mishap took place when a mini lorry, transporting goods from Hassan to Mangaluru, was struck by another vehicle. The mini lorry sustained severe damage, while the responsible vehicle fled the scene.

Sakleshpur Rural Police have registered a case.
