Udupi: Udupi Deputy Commissioner Dr. K. Vidyakumari has emphasized the need to prioritize the development of roads connecting beaches in order to facilitate the seamless movement of tourist vehicles. 

During a meeting, Dr. Vidyakumari noted the substantial influx of tourists to these beach destinations and stressed the importance of creating a comprehensive plan to enhance the road infrastructure.

Given the district's extensive 92-kilometer coastline, she urged officials to draft a blueprint outlining the necessary improvements for these beach-access roads. 

Dr. Vidyakumari also stressed the need for conducting surveys to prevent land encroachments at these popular locations and to ensure the convenience of tourists.
