Udupi: Former Belmann gram panchayat president Srilatha (50) passed away tragically when a water tank collapsed and struck her in Nandalike, located in Karkala taluk. 

Srilatha's daughter Pooja, who was with her at the time, sustained injuries. 

The incident took place while the two were washing their hands after having lunch at a religious event.
