Udupi Murder Case: Accused Reveals Three Motives for Brutal Murder, says SP Dr. Arun

Udupi: The accused, Praveen Arun Chowgale (39), who was arrested on Tuesday at the Kudachi police station in Rayabhaga taluk of Belgaum in connection with the massacre of a mother and child in Nejjar, confessed to the crime, according to Udupi District Superintendent of Police, Dr. K. Arun. 

In a press conference held at the Udupi SP office, Dr. Arun revealed that the confession was supported by technical and other evidence. However, the weapon used in the crime is yet to be seized.

Praveen. the accused, was employed as a cabin crew member at International Airline and committed the murder out of hatred for Ainaz. He reportedly stabbed the mother and two children who tried to intervene and stop him.

During the interrogation, the accused provided three motives for the murder, which are pending verification. 

The SP mentioned that Praveen, a married individual from Sangli, Maharashtra, had been residing in Mangalore for several years.
