Udupi Murder Case: Jealousy Over Colleague Ainaz Revealed as Motive says SP

Udupi: Superintendent of Police, Dr. K. Arun, revealed that jealousy and animosity towards his colleague, Ainaz, an air hostess, were the motives behind the murder of Praveen Arun Chowgule (39), an crew member involved in the case of murdering four members of the same family in Nejar.

Praveen Chowgule, who had been rrested  and he was presented before the court on November 15, and the court granted a 14-day police custody for further investigation.

During intense interrogation, the accused provided multiple reasons for the murder, and the Superintendent of Police mentioned that overall, Praveen had an obsessive attitude towards Ainaz, aiming to assert control over her. 

The police are working to collect evidence during the 14-day custody period, exploring whether drugs were involved in the crime or if the accused had a history of drug use.

Additionally, efforts are underway to recover the knife used in the commission of the crime.
