Udupi: A 33-year-old man, Inanjeya Uttam, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on National Highway-66 in Kapu.

Uttam was crossing the road after finishing painting work when he was struck by a car traveling from Mangalore towards Udupi. 

Uttam was seriously injured and died on the way to the hospital. 

A case has been registered in Kapu police station.
