Karwar: Deputy Commissioner Gangubai Mankar directed the concerned officials to ensure all necessary arrangements for the grand celebration of Karnataka Rajyotsava.

She spoke during a preparatory meeting for the Rajyotsava celebration held at her office on Friday.

She emphasized the necessity of a procession with the tableau. Additionally, she stressed the importance of organizing a parade, cultural events, prize distributions, and other activities. Chiefs of sub-committees were tasked with making the necessary arrangements for these events.

Gangubai Mankar proposed a procession from the Deputy Commissioner's office premises to the police parade ground, featuring a portrait of Kannadambe. Additionally, she requested the display of tableaus from the Agriculture, Horticulture, Forest, Fisheries, Ports Departments, and the City Municipal Council. Creating awareness about government schemes was also highlighted as a key objective.
