Kundapur:  A tragic incident unfolded as a young boy drowned in a swimming pool at a resort near Hengavalli and succumbed to his injuries on the evening of April 11th at Kundapur.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Areez (10) from Udupi Hooda. Areez, a fourth standard student at Darussalam English Medium School in Hooda, had accompanied his family to the water park to celebrate a festival.

Unfortunately, Areez accidentally fell into the pool while playing and became critically unwell. Despite immediate efforts to rescue him, he was rushed to the hospital where, despite medical intervention, he passed away.

The Shankaranarayan police station has registered a case.
