Mangaluru: A distressing incident of theft at a school located in Bolangadi, Bantwal taluk, as unidentified miscreants managed to break into the school's office. The perpetrators made off with a sum of Rs 25,000 in cash, which had been securely stored in a locker.

Shridhar Poojari, the school's headmaster and the individual who reported the theft, discovered the break-in on Saturday. Upon inspection, it was evident that the lock to the office had been forcibly opened. Inside the office, files were found strewn around in a state of disarray.

Bantwal town police have registered a case.
