Mangaluru: An 39-year-old city bus driver, took his own life by jumping into the sea at Someshwar Rudrapade on Tuesday.

The deceased indnetified as Jagadish Shetty of Kondana.

He was operated a private bus on the State Bank-Kinya route.He left his bike on the shore, along with his keys, purse, and footwear wrapped in a towel. The purse contained a note about pledging gold, with the corresponding amount transferred to his bank account. Shetty's father is currently ailing and receiving treatment at a private hospital in Derlakatte.
