Mangaluru: Municipal Administration and Haj Minister Rahim Khan has proposed the formulation and execution of essential plans to prevent drinking water shortages in urban and town areas. During his visit to Kotekaru Town Panchayat on Monday, he conducted a progress review meeting.
Emphasis should be placed on ensuring the seamless collection and distribution of water, with a focus on avoiding any circumstances that could lead to shortages. The minister emphasized the importance of proactive planning, stating that if plans are devised in advance rather than being reactive at the last moment, there will be no water scarcity during the summer.
Minister Rahim Khan also stressed the need to boost financial resources, particularly through the collection of tax arrears.
During the meeting, the Minister received details about the development works in Kotekaru Town Panchayat and assessed the performance of the staff.
