Bhatkal: Minister of Fisheries, Ports and Inland Transport Department Mankal Vaidya expressed his love for people and emphasized that he never prioritized money during a felicitation function organized by the Bhatkal Block Congress in Bhatkal here on Tuesday.
He acknowledged that he lacked funds for elections, but the support of women who contributed money him to contest.
Vaidya highlighted the importance of genuine politics, where falling at the feet of voters after winning is not enough; instead, it involves respecting and serving the poor.
Vaidya also praised the dedication of the Congress party workers and urged them to work for the welfare of the people while maintaining peace and harmony in Bhatkal.
Looking ahead, Vaidya emphasized the upcoming Panchayat Elections and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, stressing the need for the same enthusiasm and determination. He assured party workers that opportunities would be provided in the future, even if not everyone could be given tickets for the elections. Various speakers, including local Congress leaders and officials, expressed their support and appreciation for Vaidya during the function.
