Kundapur: Tragedy struck as a man lost his life after being struck by a private bus while waiting to cross National Highway 66 in Trasi, Kundapur taluk on Sunday night.

The victim, identified as Raju Poojary from Sasthan.

Raju Poojary was standing near the petrol bunk in Trasi by the road divider, waiting to cross the highway, suddenly private bus traveling from Byndoor to Kundapur collided with him, causing severe injuries that proved fatal.

A case had been registered at Gangolli Police Station.
