Mangaluru: The Puttur Town police have successfully arrested an individual involved in the production and distribution of counterfeit government documents.

The arrested has been indentified as  Vishwanath BV (40).  A raid was conducted at the BB Electrical and Plumbing shop on Tuesday.

The arrest was made following a complaint filed by Navin Kumar Bhandari, the Executive Officer of Puttur Taluk Panchayat.

Substantial evidence in the form of fake documents was seized during the operation.

Police have registered a case.
