Ullal: Speaker U T Khader announced the commencement of the development project for the road stretching from Thokkottu to Mudipu. He disclosed that a budget of Rs 30 crore has been allocated for the enhancement of Thokkottu and Deralakatte Junctions, along with other four-laning endeavors.
During the inauguration of the construction work from Fr Muller Homeopathy College to Deralakatte, Khader elaborated that the road's overall improvement is estimated to cost Rs 4.5 crore. "The toll-free state highway from Thokkottu to Mudipu has been successfully completed in the initial phase. Subsequently, the second phase will focus on the development of service roads, footpaths, and the aesthetic enhancement of the route," declared the Speaker.
Khader assured that the upcoming month will witness the commencement of work on the road from Thokkottu Junction to Chembugudde. Furthermore, he outlined the plans for allocating Rs 25 crore for the development of Thokkottu Junctions, Chembugudde, and the stretch from Assaigoli to Kambalapadavu. An allocation of Rs 2 crore has been earmarked for the construction of drains spanning from Abbakka Circle to Mastikatte. Additionally, a proposal requesting Rs 4.5 crore for the development of the stretch from Abbakka Circle to Beach Road has been formally submitted.
