Udupi: Ten contenders remain in the Udupi-Chikmagaluru constituency race as Monday marked the deadline for withdrawal of nomination papers. None of the candidates opted to withdraw their nominations, solidifying the field at 10 candidates.

Among those vying for the seat are K Jayaprakash Hegde representing the Congress, Kota Srinivasa Poojary from the BJP, KT Radhakrishna from the Bahujan Samaj Party, Supreet Kumar Poojary of the Janahita Party, Shabarish R representing the Karunada Sevak Party, L Ranganath Gowda from the Karnataka Rashtria Samiti Party, M K Dayanand representing the Proutist Sarva Samaj, Sachin BK from the Uttam Prajakia Party, and independent candidates Sudhir Kanchan and Vijayakumar.
