Udupi: A 29-year-old woman constable stationed in Kaup was found deceased by hanging in the police quarters on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as Jotohi, hailed from Bagalkote.

As per Police, Jyothi concluded her duty on Friday evening and returned home. Reports suggest she took this drastic step on Saturday morning, shortly after her husband departed for work. The precise motive behind Jyothi's decision remains undisclosed.

Kaup Thasildar Pratibha R, along with Additional SP Siddalingappa and DySP Karkala, visited the scene to gather essential details.

A case has been filed at the Kaup Police Station.
