Mangaluru: A private hospital in Belthangady taluk had its scanning machine confiscated by the District Health and Family Welfare office.

The Health department officials, led by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr H R Thimmaiah, carried out the operation on Thursday.

While conducting a routine visit to Abhay Hospital in Belthangady, the District Health officer found that the scanning machine was in use without proper registration with the Health department. In response, Health officials promptly seized the scanning machine.

Dr. H R Thimmaiah, the DHO, issued a warning about the impending escalation of efforts against unregistered scanning machines in the days to come.
