Mangaluru: A 66-year-old woman died after falling from the footboard of a private bus in Mangaluru. 

The woman, Neelamma, and her grandson had just boarded the bus when the driver started moving it even before the door had closed. Neelamma was thrown off the bus and sustained serious head injuries. She was rushed to the hospital but died on the way. 

The driver and conductor of the bus have been arrested.

The bus has been seized and a report has been sent to the RTO.
